Machinery Installation & Positioning Services in Bangalore
Installing a new machine is not complete until it is positioned within tolerance and properly leveled. A press that sits 2mm out of level will wear its tooling unevenly and produce dimensionally inconsistent parts. A CNC machining centre installed on an uneven concrete pad will cause spindle runout that no calibration adjustment can fully compensate. We specialize in the final phase of machine installation—the part that comes after the crane sets the machine down. Using hydraulic lifting and precision leveling instruments, we get every machine to the manufacturer's specified level before handing over to the commissioning engineer.
What's Included
- ✓ Hydraulic jack lifting for positioning inside factory
- ✓ Precision leveling to manufacturer specification (0.02mm/m tolerance)

- ✓ Internal factory rearrangement without cranes for lighter machines
Equipment We Use
Common On-Site Challenges We Handle
- ▶ Foundation pads not prepared to the correct dimensions before machine delivery
- ▶ Machines arriving before the factory electrical infrastructure is ready
- ▶ Anchor bolt positions not matching the machine base plate layout
How We Work — Step by Step
Foundation & Pad Check
We check the destination floor or foundation pad for levelness, load capacity, and anchor bolt positions before the machine arrives.
Machine Placement
Using cranes, hydraulic jacks, or roller skids, we set the machine onto its foundation in the correct orientation, aligned to the production line.
Coarse Leveling
Initial leveling is done using the machine's leveling feet, bringing the machine within 0.1mm/m of level in both axes.
Fine Leveling
Using shim packs and a precision digital level, we bring the machine to the final tolerance specified in the machine manual—typically 0.02mm/m or better for CNC machines.
Anchor & Handover
Once leveled, anchor bolts are torqued to specification and the level is re-verified after anchoring. We document the final level readings before handover.
Machinery Installation & Positioning — FAQs
What leveling tolerance do CNC machining centres require? +
Most CNC machining centres specify a leveling tolerance of 0.02mm per metre (0.02mm/m) in both the X and Y axes. This is considerably tighter than general machinery leveling, which is typically acceptable at 0.1mm/m. We use a digital precision level with a resolution of 0.01mm/m to achieve this. The level is checked after final anchor bolt tightening, because anchoring can introduce small changes in the base position.
Do you coordinate with the OEM service engineer during installation? +
Yes, frequently. For brand-new CNC, VMC, or precision machining equipment, the OEM service engineer typically arrives after the machine is positioned and leveled by our team. We synchronise our schedule with the OEM visit to ensure the machine is installation-ready (positioned, coarse-leveled, and powered in preparation) when the OEM engineer arrives for final alignment and commissioning. This saves the OEM engineer significant time and reduces the total commissioning window.
Can you reposition a machine that was incorrectly placed after initial installation? +
Yes. Machine repositioning—whether due to incorrect placement, production line redesign, or space optimization—is a routine service. If the machine weighs under 3 tonnes and is on a level floor, we can often use roller skids and hydraulic toe jacks without a crane. Heavier machines require crane support. We assess the situation and recommend the most appropriate method.
How do you handle grouting around machine bases? +
Grouting of machine bases—filling the gap between the leveled machine base plate and the foundation with non-shrink grout—is typically done after final leveling and before anchor bolts are permanently torqued. We can coordinate with a civil contractor for the grouting work and re-check machine level after grout curing (24–48 hours). We do not perform the grouting ourselves, but we manage the sequence to ensure the machine is not disturbed during curing.
