Heavy Equipment Loading & Unloading in Bangalore

A transformer tipped on its side during unloading is not just an equipment loss—it is an oil spill, a safety incident, and weeks of delay waiting for a replacement. Heavy equipment loading and unloading requires the same rigour as a full machinery move: the right crane capacity, proper rigging geometry, confirmed ground conditions for the trailer, and a team that communicates clearly throughout the lift. We provide loading and unloading as a standalone service for factories, logistics yards, and project sites across Bangalore and the surrounding industrial belt.

What's Included

  • Crane-assisted loading from factory floor to transport vehicle
  • Unloading from trucks and trailers at delivery sites
  • Proper rigging for asymmetric loads (transformers, DG sets, tanks)
  • Forklift assistance for loads under 5 tonnes
  • Load securing and tie-down after loading
  • Container loading and unloading at port-forwarding yards

Common On-Site Challenges We Handle

  • Trucks arriving without prior notification, requiring rapid crane deployment
  • Factory yard soft spots under the loaded trailer causing sinking
  • Equipment arriving without rigging point documentation

How We Work — Step by Step

01

Load Assessment

We confirm the equipment weight, dimensions, centre of gravity, and rigging points. If the equipment has no marked rigging points, we calculate safe sling positions.

02

Vehicle Positioning

The transport vehicle is positioned for the safest approach angle. We check that the ground can support the crane and loaded trailer simultaneously.

03

Rigging

Slings, shackles, and spreader bars are selected based on load weight and geometry. The rigging is inspected before the lift hook is loaded.

04

Lift & Place

The equipment is lifted, held at check height to confirm stability, then lowered onto the transport vehicle or destination position.

05

Securing

For transport, the load is secured with rated straps and binders in accordance with road transport requirements. Dunnage and blocking are placed to prevent movement.

Heavy Equipment Loading & Unloading — FAQs

How do you rig a transformer or DG set that has no visible lifting lugs? +

Many transformers and DG sets are designed with specific but non-obvious rigging points—typically the base frame corners or designated underframe lifting channels. We refer to the equipment manual or manufacturer data sheet before rigging. If documentation is unavailable, we assess the structural frame and use spreading beams to distribute the lift across the base rather than concentrating the load on a single point. We never rig through cooling fins, cable junction boxes, or radiator assemblies.

Can you unload heavy equipment on a Saturday or outside normal business hours? +

Yes. Industrial delivery schedules often require weekend or off-hours unloading—particularly for equipment arriving on long-haul trucks from Chennai or Hyderabad that run overnight. We accommodate weekend and early-morning unloading with advance booking. Emergency unloading at short notice is also possible depending on crew and crane availability.

What is the largest single load you can handle for unloading? +

Our in-house crane capacity reaches 20 tonnes for standard lifts. For loads between 20 and 50 tonnes, we coordinate with specialist heavy-lift contractors in Bangalore and sub-contract the crane while providing the rigging and site management. For loads above 50 tonnes, a specialist heavy-lift survey is required before any work is scheduled.

Do you handle container stuffing and de-stuffing for export or import machinery? +

Yes. Container loading and unloading for factory machinery is a frequent requirement—particularly for businesses importing CNC machines from Taiwan, Germany, or Japan, or exporting machine tools. We load machines into 20' or 40' containers using cranes and forklifts, and apply export-grade blocking and bracing inside the container to prevent movement during sea freight.
