What is the maximum load a hydra crane can carry in pick-and-carry mode? +
In pick-and-carry mode (travelling with the load), the rated capacity is derated compared to the static lift capacity. For our 8T hydra crane, the pick-and-carry capacity at short radius is typically 5–6 tonnes. For a 12T machine, it is around 8–10 tonnes at short radius. The actual derated capacity depends on the boom angle and load radius—our operator will calculate this precisely before rigging. Never assume the pick-and-carry capacity equals the headline tonnage.
Can a hydra crane fit through the standard factory gates in Peenya Industrial Area? +
Most older factory gates in Peenya's Stage 1 and Stage 2 estates have a clear opening of 4–5 metres wide and 4.5 metres high.
