Rolling mills and large hydraulic presses are among the most challenging industrial machinery moves because of their weight distribution—rolling mills in particular have very heavy rolls that must be removed before the frame can be lifted, and re-assembled after positioning. We plan these moves with a machine dismantling stage before the crane lift, systematically removing rolls, hydraulic cylinders, and electrical panels in the sequence dictated by the machine's centre of gravity. Each sub-assembly is weighed or estimated and rigged separately. The frame is lifted last and positioned on the prepared foundation.

A 15-tonne CNC lathe typically has its weight concentrated in the machine bed—a single cast iron structure that cannot be disassembled. You need a minimum 20T capacity crane with enough outreach to reach the machine inside the factory. For a machine weighing 15 tonnes at a 5-metre radius from the crane, you need a crane with a 20T-at-5m capacity rating.
